American Heart Association (RM 219)
The purpose of AHA is to raise awareness about heart disease, the number one cause of death for both men and women worldwide. Through educating students about the different types of heart disease and their symptoms, causes, and treatments, students will be able to take measures to increase its prevention. Thus, with this knowledge and information, students will be able to raise awareness about fitness, nutrition, CPR activities, and raise lifesaving funds.

Liberty in North Korea (Rm 119)
The goal of Liberty in North Korea Club is to establish a chapter of the non-profit organization, Liberty in North Korea. For decades, mainstream media has focused on the ‘crazy Kims’ and nuclear weapons, often overlooking the twenty-four million people who face the world’s most repressive government. The politicized and securitized narrative of North Korea has the North Korean citizens neglected as they continue to suffer without global citizens engaging in the growing issue. The club’s purpose is to change this narrative by raising awareness about the truth in Beckman High School. Our purpose is to create a more educated community of individuals who can see past the oppressive political regime, and who can understand that North Korean citizens are ordinary people who can benefit from greater awareness in Beckman and the global community alike.
