Beckman Fishing Club (RM 232)

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (RM 122)
Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a club that supports all students at Beckman High School. Our club welcomes all — not needing to be Christian or an athlete to attend our huddles. We have two huddles each month, every other Thursday, and we serve free pizza and cookies. During our huddles, we listen to a message from local pastors, students, or ministry leaders as we learn more about God’s word. FCA also likes to serve the community with volunteer service events every semester, as well as supporting Beckman athletics. We attend sports games to cheer on athletes as well as pray over our teams and our school.

Hooked on Humanity (RM 105)
Hooked on Humanity is a club dedicated towards helping out the community through the art of crochet. We teach members how to make items such as scarves and beanies, and donate those items to the Orange County Rescue Mission. Whether you are a novice or a pro, you too can make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our community!

This club is part of the largest student run organization in the nation, the Junior State of America. We work to promote political awareness among high school students by attending overnight conventions, participating in Fight Apathy Campaigns, as well as having biweekly meetings where we debate relevant political topics.

Mind Over Matter is a club that focuses on the importance of mental health, especially for high schoolers. It emphasizes the effects of anxiety, stress, and depression on teenagers and the dangers of what happens when they become taboos. Plus One Chance (RM 120)
Plus One Chance is about opportunities and giving more chances to those who are not as fortunate to have the opportunities that we have at Beckman High School. We will raise money through various fundraisers in order to rest libraries at orphanages and to support the orphanage facilities such as Critterton. We will also hold monthly meetings for the members to stay updated and active and have a chance to help those in the communities. We will also partner with FYLA (a non profit organization) to further reach out to help those in Africa for education.

Sunday’s Delight is a club that raises awareness of homelessness in Orange County and gives students the opportunity to volunteer for homeless-related events through Illumination Foundation.

Together We Can (RM 204)
The purpose of our club is to help the community by fundraising and doing community service. We stress upon the fact that a group of people together can perform more tasks than one can alone, hence the name “Together We Can”. We fundraise for many causes, not only animals and humans, but also for the environment. Additionally, we plan to perform community service work outside of school. Our club benefits Beckman High School by influencing the students who join to reach out and aid others in need. This helps develop a student’s social skills, communication, and teamwork. We hope to not only fundraise and help our community, but to also encourage students to work together and step out of their comfort zone.
