While organizations are not clubs, Beckman Clubs works with organizations to ensure that they get the resources they need and accomplish their goals like other clubs on campus.

City of Irvine Youth Action Team (HSYAT)

HSYAT provides high school students the opportunity to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of services for their peers. The program’s objectives include:

Youth Leadership: Engage youth in leadership roles in the community.

Community Services: Increase youth participation in activities that benefit the entire community.

Social-Recreational: Engage youth in safe and appealing social-recreational activities.

There are no member requirements. All high school students are welcome at HSYAT.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF)


The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a nationally recognized academic club that emphasizes community service and recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

  • CSF is a state-wide academic honors organization that provides students with a wide variety of volunteer activities in which they can participate.

  • Membership is based on qualifying grades that are earned each semester which must be submitted through an online application per semester.

  • Members must have at least 4 semesters of CSF eligibility from the last 5 or 6 semesters and must include one semester from the Senior year.

We are an international organization that strives to serve our community through hard work, dedication, compassion and leadership.



FCA is an interdenominational Christian sports ministry that works with students from Beckman to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA hosts huddles in the gym at lunch every other week. At these huddles, students will be able to eat free pizza and hear a great message from a speaker. You do not need to be an athlete or a Christian to attend! 

National Honors Society (NHS)


As a club, our purpose is to spark and leadership in the youth at our school. It’s more than just an honor roll type of achievement, we primarily focus on scholarship, service (in and outside of school), leadership, and personal character as a student.

Membership Requirements:

  • Must be in grade 10-12.

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 weighted.

There is also an application process involved with multiple requirements labeled on the form.

Science Olympiad


Science Olympiad is a 15-person competitive team that competes in 23 different academic events. Through Science Olympiad, students learn to collaborate on daunting challenges and prepare for a wide variety of academic topics. 

Membership Requirements:

-No grade requirement

-Must try out for the team in the beginning of the year for empty spots

-Team limited to 15 people

Mock Trial

Mock Trial aims to teach anyone and everyone about the legal system and we do so by competing against other schools with a mock court case in front of real judges and real lawyers in a real courtroom. All you have to do is tryout.
